Garlic & Herb Compound Butter
(also tasty with StarCatcher's gourmet herbal blend: TASTE OF TUSCANY )
1 cup softened butter (salted or salt free)
2 tablespoons StarCatcher GARLIC & HERB blend
2 tablespoons - 1/3 cup first cold pressed olive oil
(choose quantity of olive oil depending on desired softness. More olive oil results in an easily spreadable butter. Less olive oil results in a hard compound butter)
(optional) 2 teaspoons lemon juice
(optional) salt to taste
Remove butter from refrigerator and allow to soften for 10 minutes.
Mix olive oil, lemon juice (optional), and StarCatcher GARLIC & HERB in a bowl. Let sit 20 minutes.
Add butter and salt (if using salt). Blend ingredients together until well mixed. (Use fork, immersion blender, or blender...your choice!)
Place butter in a small bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
OPTIONS: If making a hard butter, roll the butter into a small log and wrap in wax paper. Keep in refrigerator and slice off rounds of butter when needed.
SIMPLE OPTION: Use a tasty whipped butter blend and add 2 tablespoons of StarCatcher GARLIC & HERB blend. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
